Die Autozulieferer der Zukunft kommen aus Israel
Die Automobilindustrie schaut nach Israel – und das nicht erst seit dem Erfolg von „Mobileye“. Rund um Tel Aviv baut sich seit Jahren ein Automotive Silicon Valley auf. Wie immer in Israel, hat das Militär darauf einen positiven Einfluss.
Was bisher eine deutsche Domäne war, scheint heute in den USA und vor allem in Israel entwickelt zu werden: die Zukunft der Automobilindustrie.
Von den 6.000 Startups in Israel beschäftigen sich ca. 600 mit Innovationen für die Automobilindustrie. Unzählige weitere Startups beschäftigen sich mit Industrie 4.0 und Robotics – alles Themen für die Zukunftsfähigkeit produzierender Zulieferer und Hersteller.

Israel Innovation Institute: “Never before in history has innovation offered promise of so much to so many in so short a time.” Transforming Innovation to Serve Society – The Israel Innovation Institute is a non-profit “think and do tank” bringing innovative technology and knowledge into real-world settings. The Institute enables and manages the development, testing, and the demonstration of scalable, innovative solutions to global challenges—indispensable fields such as Healthcare, Education and Transportation. Collaborating in workplaces, such as schools and health facilities, the Institute and its partners are fuelling holistic and sustainable change to deliver the highest quality of life in Israel and worldwide.
Part of the Israeli Innovation Institute is also EcoMotion. EcoMotion is a dynamic community with over 600 start-ups (constantly growing) and 8,000 members in the Smart Transportation sector. Their mission is to support the growth of the Israeli Smart Transportation sector and enhance the implementation of innovation in their field, while simultaneously, positioning Israel as a global innovation center for Smart Transportation. EcoMotion has an extensive innovation toolkit to support public and private sector organizations in the implementation of innovation, such as Challenge Competitions, Adaptathons, Networking Events and more. EcoMotion was also the organizer of EcoMotion 2019 week with 4,000 participants, 130 startups exhibitions (including many from the global community), leading industry players.

Meeting with Start-Up Nation Central. Start-Up Nation Central is an independent non-profit that builds bridges for Israeli innovation. They currently focus on the Digital Health, AgriFoodtech and Industry 4.0 sectors, exposing them to global audiences, helping them develop practical tools, attracting investors, and establishing and nurturing tech communities to increase collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and skill expansion. We will focus on Industry 4.0 and robotics.
Start-Up Nation Central will also organize a day for us. Focus Industry 4.0 (I4). Parts of this program includes an Innovation Ecosystem Talk, an I4 Sector Talk, an I4 Ecosystem Event where delegation members can reverse-pitch. One day is fully dedicated to visit Israeli VCs investing in start-ups. We will see presentations of the VCs strategies and have pitches of their portfolio companies. Computer Science was first established as a graduate program at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1969, and was later extended to include undergraduate education in 1980. These programs were a part of the famous Institute of Mathematics of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The Institute of Computer Science was inaugurated as an independent in school in 1992.
The Computer Science Institute has a strong international reputation. The school is Hebrew University’s fastest-growing program, The School of Computer Science and Engineering plays a major role in helping Israel maintain its edge as Start-Up Nation.
